Design your own book!

If you want to design and create your own book, please do so! These are your stories and they should be as diverse and personal as you are. Simply follow these instructions to produce a book using your own design and one of our blank templates.

Step 1: Choose Your Book Size

We offer six different book sizes for you to choose from. You can download a template to use as a guide or build your document based on the unique specs for the book of your choice.

Tip:
When you set up your document make sure to account for bleeds and the gutter margin.

Step 2: Design Your Book

You can design your own custom book using the design or digital scrapbooking software of your choice. Your document must be a minimum of 20 pages. You are welcome to create additional pages for your book, but there is an additional charge of $1 for each page. Swatchbooks have a static page count of 15 pages, no pages can be added or deleted from this book.

Step 3: Upload Your Page Images

After you select "Build book" select "Upload Photos" from the menu bar above photos. Follow the instructions to upload your page images to your album. When you have uploaded all of your page images, select "Finished Uploading" and you will be returned to your project. You can always add additional page images from the Builder as you are working on your book. From here you can start dragging your page images onto your blank book.

Tip: Images should be RGB jpeg files with a resolution of at least 300dpi. Images should be no larger than 4mb.

Step 4: Preview Book

Select "Preview" to review your book page by page. Once you have reviewed your book you are ready to place your order.

Tip: Thoroughly review each page, cover, and spine. The Preview shows exactly how your printed book will look.

Tip: Any adjustments, including positioning need to be made to the original document. You will then need to upload the revised page image to the album and place it into the book. If you update any images, remember to Preview your book again.
